Been a father of four children has really helped me in creating personalised wall art from each stage of their development. I mean, who wouldn't want wall art of their children on the walls.
I was pretty good at Photoshop when our third child Conor was born and wanted to create something unique that showed their birth picture along with all their little birth details.
In this Moment, Time Stood Still wall art is a pretty popular piece but I wanted to create something a little more organic. With a more beautiful clock and the image faded in.
That is where I came up with the design for my "Time Stood Still" print which was Design Gaff's first product.
As we had our fourth child I wanted something that could display them all right next to each other in order to see the similarities in them. That is where I came up with the design for the personalised "In These Moments" prints. At the start this design allowed me to store up to four babies on one print. Since purchasing the wide format printed I have now done these with six babies.
These two personalised newborn prints quickly became two best sellers and since then I have sold them to customers in Ireland, United Kingdom, France and Germany.
Creating these designs became a favourite of mine and another great seller was the "Moments" prints. These featured a photo of your baby in watercolour style along with all the newborn baby's details. I really loved the minimalist elegant look of these. It's true what they say, less is more.
For a niche that I came across by chance, I have had a blast in creating these newborn prints. I probably wouldn't be doing these if I didn't have my own children to practice on but I am grateful that I do and I am grateful to have made the days of so many customers who have the newborn prints hanging in their homes.
They do make for a beautiful gift for a new mother or for a baby shower etc.
